PRADA to Primark

We all know how the fashion industry works. A well designer known designer will how their collection from a runway and other smaller designer will inspire their collections on it taking a colour, theme, neck line or even print and use it in their collection. then department then high-street will use the most sell-able parts and then will start a trend this being fashion. So when we see a Primark collection with a unmistakable  PRADA inspired collection at their love to hate prices we jumping at the chance. If you dislike wearing Primark because of their...(well cheap looking) then you can always go to your local haberdashery and and spice up your garment or buy some more expensive accessories to pair them up with.

these are some which are practically identical to the PRADA collection we saw go down the runway and were my favourites and the time and are now:

Fashion Logos?

When you pick up a fab designer bag, dress or accessories are you buying it because it have a designer logo you can show it off and therefore because of the label it must be fashionable? And are you spending hundreds of pounds on the fab design or the designer logo and brand? And yes i agree there is a certain added luxury to a designer bag or garment but it not the logo sparking in the sun but the added quality of a handmade with care and more unique than high street. As much as I love designers and like PRADA and Versace, but after reading a interesting article by the telegraph online fashion section about how Selfridges are starting there "No Noise" campaign, they are asking big brands to tine down logo's branding techniques in the hope bags and other clothes will sell on their style and design and not their brand. This point of buying something for the brand and not for the chic design when the article reminded us of Jill Sander's paper lunch bag made from paper which sold out for £185 each and of course the plastic shopping bag reminding us a little too much of Salisbury's.This article lead to another article which said when Gucci "de-branded" if you will to make the bag more discrete which led to more people and celebs buying more leading to a bigger profit. I think this would be a amazing opportunity to rethink our designer shopping habits to what we like and not what you think you should like and a fantastic opportunity to explore new designers! So I think all in all I love this new campaign by Selfridges!

Yer...I think not...

Sassy Shirts

I love this trend of wearing a collared shirt or blouse with the collar done up and a lovely warm jumper over the top so the collar shows over the jumper neck line. I think to get the best results is to use contrasting colours for the shirt and jumper E.G. light and dark to get a great look, to accessories wear a long necklace and wear it under the collar to really tie the outfit together.

Designer fun at H&M

I love the imagitive and fun of H&M's new guest designer Maison Martin Margiela. Who I feel has incorpated the latest runway looks and Japanese cultural patterns and styles into a wearable I'm not so sure...
I love the creative designs but I feel they are too out there for the average high street street shopper like you or me to spend a lot of money which you not realistically going to be able to go out in it. As much as I adore the collection and the designer I cant help but feel it is a stunt to attract celebs to wear there clothes for huge publicity stunt. What is your view?

Autumn Outfits

I love this outfit. It is chic and band on trend this season! I used a mono tone look and added gold accessories to give it a hint of glam.
This great outfit came to very large figure at: £132.93! But never fear this outfit is interchangeable and is a great value for money if you use the different part of the outfit well!

This outfit is fab for those cold winter months. The red gives the outfit a warm look and the accessories give the outfit a fantastic flare of chic. The blazer with the waterfall drop hem gives the outfit a nice frame around the outfit.
This whole outfit came to a little pricey £109.92 but don't forget you can mix and match the accessories with other outfits.

Finding Vintage Chic!

I love trawling through 2nd shops and cute little shops finding designer and vintage gems. I also love doing this in the winter from my PC. You may  think of eBay of place to get rid of all of your old junk but if you look in the right place you can find vintage gems. It's fun going trough pages of potential. If you end up finding a luscious vintage find the fun is only just beginning  you can style it up  and even make a few artistic up-cycling changes.  When its raining out log on to eBay and have some fun!
